Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using devtoolspack (available at devtoolspack.dev), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not access or use our services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2. Privacy & Data Processing

devtoolspack is architected as a client-side only platform. We do not store, view, transmit, or process any data you input into our tools on our servers. All computation occurs locally within your browser's JavaScript engine. While we provide the environment for processing, you are solely responsible for the data you input and the subsequent use of any output generated by our tools.

For information about what data our third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Cookiebot) may collect, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

3. Permitted Use & License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use devtoolspack for your personal and professional development workflows. You may use any output generated by our tools (formatted JSON, encoded strings, generated UUIDs, CSS code, etc.) freely in your own projects, whether personal or commercial, without attribution.

This license does not include the right to resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the devtoolspack platform itself, or to use the tools in any way that violates these terms.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use devtoolspack or its content for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Mirror, scrape, or bulk-download our tool pages, code, or content for redistribution or competitive intelligence without prior written consent.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying source code of the platform for the purpose of creating a competing service.
  • Use the tools to generate, encode, or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Use the platform to create or distribute malicious code, malware, phishing content, or any software designed to harm users or systems.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site, its related systems, or networks by hacking, password mining, or any other illegitimate means.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices from the site or any content obtained from it.
  • Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the service in a manner that sends more requests in a given period than a human could reasonably produce, in a way that could degrade service performance.

5. Intellectual Property

The devtoolspack platform, including its design, user interface, original source code, branding, logos, and written content (articles, guides, descriptions), is the exclusive intellectual property of devtoolspack and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Open-source libraries used within the platform (React, Vite, etc.) are subject to their own respective licenses and remain the property of their respective authors. The output of our tools—the JSON you format, the strings you encode, the CSS you generate—belongs entirely to you. We claim no ownership over content you process through our tools.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

The tools and services on devtoolspack are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, devtoolspack expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

While we strive for technical accuracy and reliability, developer tools can have edge cases, especially when dealing with non-standard input, unusual encoding formats, or complex nested structures. We make no warranty that:

  • The service will meet your specific requirements or be available at all times.
  • The results produced by our tools will be free of errors or suitable for production use without independent verification.
  • Any defects in the service will be corrected on a specific timeline.

Always verify critical output (cryptographic hashes, formatted configuration files, generated code) before using it in production or security-sensitive environments.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, devtoolspack and its creator, affiliates, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, computer damage, or system failure, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to use) the service or any content obtained from the service.

In no event shall the total liability of devtoolspack to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid to us for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability. Because our service is free, this means our total liability to you shall not exceed zero dollars ($0 USD).

8. External Links & Third-Party Services

Our site may contain links to third-party websites and services (for example, GitHub repositories, Google AdSense, Cookiebot). These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy and terms of use of any third-party site you visit.

Third-party advertisements are served by Google AdSense. We do not endorse or guarantee any products, services, or information advertised. Any interactions between you and third-party advertisers are solely between you and those third parties.

9. Governing Law & Changes to Terms

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Sri Lanka.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms of Use at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after any changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

If we make material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, for example by updating the date prominently on this page. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.

10. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed entirely, while the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and devtoolspack regarding the use of the service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
